The Best Bad Movies of the Past 10 Years

The Best Bad Movies of the Past 10 Years

Looking for a quick fix of cheesy humor and crazy plot lines, well you came to the right place. These are some amazingly bad, horribly entertaining movies you must see!

01

"Sharknado" 2013

When a freak hurricane swamps Los Angeles, nature's deadliest killer rules sea, land and air as thousands of sharks terrorize the waterlogged populace. The 2013 movie starred Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, John Heard, Cassie Scerbo, and Jaason Simmons. Check out the official trailer here.

02

"The Human Centipede" (First Sequence) 2010

"The Human Centipede" (First Sequence) is a 2010 Dutch horror film written, directed, and co-produced by Tom Six. The film tells the story of a German doctor who kidnaps three tourists and joins them surgically, mouth to anus, forming a "human centipede," a Siamese triplet. It stars Dieter Laser as the antagonist villain, Dr. Heiter, with Ashley C. Williams, Ashlynn Yennie, and Akihiro Kitamura as his victims.

According to Six, the concept of the film arose from a joke he made with friends about punishing a child molester by stitching his mouth to the anus of a "fat truck driver." Six also stated that inspiration for the film came from Nazi medical experiments carried out during World War II, such as the crimes of Josef Mengele at the Auschwitz concentration camp.

This learning takes you to the (PG) trailer.

03

"Teeth" 2007

"Teeth" is a 2007 comedy horror film written and directed by Mitchell Lichtenstein about a teenage girl who has teeth in her vagina. It premiered January 19, 2007, at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival in the independent drama category;

04

"Splice" 2009

"Splice" is a 2009 Canadian-French science fiction horror film directed by Vincenzo Natali and starring Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, and Delphine Chanéac. The story concerns experiments in genetic engineering being done by a young scientist couple who attempt to introduce human DNA into their work of splicing animal genes. If that's not creepy enough, this (PG) trailer might be.

05  "Snakes on a Plane" 2006

"Snakes on a Plane" is a 2006 thriller film starring Samuel L. Jackson in which hundreds of poisonous snakes are released on a passenger jet flying between Hawaii and Los Angeles. Prior to its release in theaters, its B-movie style title combined with Jackson’s casting resulted in much hype for the film online, resulting in a number of parody videos and fan art.

This is the movie's trailer; if you are expecting anything other than a plane with snakes on it, you will be disappointed.

06

"The Room" 2003

"The Room" is a 2003 American independent romantic drama film starring Tommy Wiseau, who also wrote, directed, and produced the feature. In addition to Wiseau, the principal cast includes Juliette Danielle, Greg Sestero, Philip Haldiman, Kyle Vogt, Carolyn Minnott, and Robyn Paris. While the film is primarily centered on the melodramatic love triangle between an amiable banker (Wiseau), his fiance (Danielle), and his conflicted best friend (Sestero), a significant portion of the movie is dedicated to a series of unrelated subplots involving friends and family of the main characters.

Some people feel this trailer gives too much away, though, so watch at your own risk.

07

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale

"Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale" is a 2010 Finnish fantasy film directed by Jalmari Helander about people living near the Korvatunturi mountain who discover the secret behind Santa Claus. This trailer (which does have some swearing in the subtitles) will be enough to tell you whether that secret is one you want to sit through a movie for.

08

I Know Who Killed Me - 2007

I Know Who Killed Me is a 2007 American psychological horror film directed by Chris Sivertson and starring Lindsay Lohan. It is the second movie in which Lohan plays twins, after 1998's The Parent Trap.

The movie itself was not popular or successful, but critics did praise its use of color, which you can get a taste of in this trailer.

09

Hobo With A Shotgun - 2011

A vigilante homeless man pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city's crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how - with a 20-gauge shotgun. Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation.

As with Snakes on a Plane, what you get is pretty much in the title; this trailer is 80% hobo and 20% shotgun.

10

"Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus" 2009

"Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus" is a monster/disaster film by The Asylum. It was directed by Ace Hannah and stars singer Debbie Gibson (looking good!) and actor Lorenzo Lamas (also looking good!). Though it was met with a negative reaction from critics for its outlandish plot, it is arguably the most popular film by The Asylum to date. The film is about the hunt for two prehistoric sea monsters causing mayhem and carnage at sea. This film is also notable as one of the very few American films to feature an Asian American male as a romantic lead as Vic Chao's character Dr. Seiji Shimada, serves as a love interest for Debbie Gibson's character, Emma MacNeil.

The movie is about what it says it's about, and the trailer in this learning doesn't spoil much that you didn't already know.

12

Top Nicholas Cage Moments from "Knowing"

So insanely, stupidly entertaining, this film was. This video should provide adequate evidence for why Knowing makes the list of the Best of the Bad.
