For those who missed JICHO PEVU BY KTN- APRIL 20TH 2014- WATCH HERE

Exactly one year and 11 days ago, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and William Samoei Ruto were sworn into office to lead Kenya for a period of five years.

The ceremony followed a hotly-contested presidential election whose results were eventually challenged in the Supreme Court. That highest court in the land declared the duo to have been validly elected into office and gave them the green light to take the oath of office.

But the failure in the electronic voter identification system, the collapse of the results transmission system, the intrigues in the tendering process for election materials all left a familiar, yet bitter taste in the mouths of many Kenyans.

Now after a year-long investigation, KTN has uncovered startling flaws and failures whose impacts on the election, the country will perhaps never know.

FINALLY MANCHESTER UNITED COACH MOYES SACKED-

Moyes is OUT! Glazers finally lose patience with Fergie's failed replacement and now United boss will pay for it by losing his job in the summer

VIA DAILY MAIL

David Moyes will be sacked by Manchester United in the coming weeks and could even go before the end of the day.

United’s owners the Glazer family have finally lost patience with Moyes after a dismal season that has seen the reigning Barclays Premier League champions slump to seventh in the table.

The final straw was Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Everton, their 11th in the Barclays Premier League this season, and a result that left the title holders down 13 points off the Champions League places.

The Glazers and United chief executive Ed Woodward were determined to show patience with Moyes but have recognised inescapable signs recently that performances were getting worse and that players had stopped trying for their manager.

It is understood that the plan now is to sack Moyes at the end of the season but the situation could now come to a head later on Monday or in the coming days. If the former Everton boss is sacked before the season’s end, club legend Ryan Giggs will be asked to take over team affairs.

In terms of appointing a long-term successor, Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, Holland’s Louis van Gaal and Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti are in the frame.

Despite the expensive signings of Marouane Fellaini last summer and Juan Mata in January, United have failed to keep pace with their rivals and mount any kind of title challenge.

Moyes, who moved from Everton last summer to replace Sir Alex Ferguson, has also overseen failure in the cup competitions.

United were eliminated by Swansea City in the third round of the FA Cup, by Sunderland in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup and by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Taking all competitions into account, United have won 27 of 51 matches during the Moyes tenure, drawing nine and losing 15.

Pressure mounted further on the embattled manager following a lacklustre showing at Goodison Park, in which United transfer target Leighton Baines and Kevin Mirallas scored the goals.

Moyes bizarrely claimed that his team had played well after they lost 2-0 at Everton despite one of the most lame performances of his reign.

Many United fans saw the performance as a tipping point and the increasing number who were calling for him to go have got their wish.

Afterwards, Moyes — who was taunted by a man dressed as the Grim Reaper in the crowd — claimed he was happy with the display.

He said: ‘We played well in the first half but conceded two on the counter-attack. We didn’t deserve to be 2-0 down. We had good control of the game and possession of the ball. We didn’t defend well for the goals, though. That was right rotten.’

Moyes’s verdict raised eyebrows in the Sky Sports studio.

‘That’s the worst I’ve seen from them over 90 minutes,’ said pundit and Sportsmail columnist Jamie Carragher.

‘Nobody seems to know what’s going on, on the pitch or in the dugout. You can’t see what the plan is. When I played it was total dominance from Manchester United. I’m looking at this team and wondering why they didn’t play like that when I was playing.’

Moyes was even criticised on the club's in-house TV channel when pundit David May said he was 'out of his depth' before being hushed up by the presenter.

The Boy Who Sees Without Eyes- VIDEO

The boy who could see without eyes After being diagnosed with retinal cancer Ben Underwood lost both his eyes at the age of 3. He taught himself to perceive and locate objects by making clicking sounds with his tongue and using the echoes as they bounced off his environment to create a visual image in his mind. He began to use this technique at age 3 and further improved it so that even the surface of the objects did not matter whether it is metal, wood or another human being. Ben was able to perceive the distance to objects in his environment by how loud and faint the echo was. Due to wearing two prostheses his disability was not visible at first glance. Ben never used a guide dog or a white cane in his life. After his unique skill made the news he was featured in several magazines and TV shows. The most important person who enabled him to develop his talent was his mother who always told him "Your name is Benjamin Underwood and you can do anything". Ben had a special talent to read other people and immediately know if he was accepted or rejected by another person. Ben's cancer returned in 2007 and this time treatment was not able to save his life. Ben died one week before his 17th birthday.

After a 15-year-long excavation defined as one of the the most complex ever conducted in Israel, archaeologists have finished uncovering a massive Canaanite fortress dating back to the time of Kings David and Solomon. The 3,800-year-old “Spring Citadel” was excavated in the City of David National Park by dozens of researchers led by Professor Ronny Reich of the University of Haifa and Eli Shukrun of the Israel Antiquities Authority. ”The Spring Citadel was built in order to save and protect the water of the city from enemies coming to conquer it, as well as to protect the people going down to the spring to get water and bring it back up to the city,” said Director of Development in the City of David, Oriya Dasberg

The citadel is believed to have protected the Gihon spring, described in the Book of Kings as the location of King Solomon’s anointing.

Fake Pastor Caught With Human Skull During Prayer

The Oyo State capital, Ibadan, has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in the last one week and the gory stories continue to unravel. First it was the discovery of a horror forest where human bodies and skeletons were discovered in a community. Few days after that discovery, a man who disguised himself as a mad man was arrested with human tongues and other body part.

The latest that is coming from the ancient city is that a man who disguised as a Pastor has been nabbed after he was discovered to be in possession of a human skull. The preacher, dressed in white garment and going about preaching at the top of his voice and receiving money from people, was arrested at Agbowo Junction.

A man approached the fake Pastor to pray for him but during the prayer the man observed something inside his bag. After the prayer, the man made as if he wanted to give the Pastor some money but he immediately grab his bag and while dragging the bag, to the surprise of everyone, a human skull drop...

A mob, having been attracted by the shocking discovery, descended on the fake Pastor and beat him to a pulp as others who had begged the Pastor to pray for them watch with shock.

But for the intervention of policemen attached to the Kajorepo Police Division, the fake preacher would have been beaten to death and even set ablaze. He is now in police cell, answering questions about his activities.

There Will Be Another "Westgate Style" Mall Assault in Kenya Claims NTV Kenya's Dennis Okari (Full story:

Dennis Okari Claims To Have Knowledge On Yet Another "Westgate Style" Mall Assault (PHOTO)

This is the rather chilling and ominous tweet sent out by NTV's lead investigative journalist Dennis Okari who was celebrating the fact that the fact that terrorists didn't attack the mall. But it also served as a chilling reminder that Kenya is still vulnerable to terrorist attacks.

For those of us who lost loved ones during the Westgate attack that occurred late last year, the pain is still an ever present memory: a reminder of the day Kenya's security forces failed it's people. For those of us lucky not to have been caught up in the crossfire, the day goes down in infamy as the day when Kenya as a nation was held hostage by al Kebab -sorry, al Shabab militants killed Kenyans indiscriminately.
DENNIS_OKARI_CHILLING_TWEET.jpg
And so when I came across the rather scary tweeet by one of Kenya's most celebrated investigative journalists I just had to share. Why the attacks didn't occur as planned is still unclear. Did the country's security apparatii save the day or did al Kebab -I did it again, sorry- did al Shabaab militants come up with the runs?
The answer is a toss up but I for one happen to be very happy nothing happened.
