Lightenin’ Up: 10 Celebrities Accused Of Bleaching Their Skin
Whether it was admitted or denied, a lot of Hollywood is getting lighter for some reason and a lot of people have suspected bleaching.

Some can argue that celebrities are influenced to do it because of the better treatment lighter complexions receive in Hollywood for television, magazines, and better endorsements.

However, we can all agree that these celebrities have gotten a little lighter over the years and it’s obvious to see.

Nicki Minaj
The Barb is known for frequently changing her wigs and costumes, but she raised some eyebrows when people accused her of lightening her skin tone. The "Starships" rapper spoke out to dispel the rumors about her seemingly lighter appearance: “People see my makeup and think all kind of crazy things like I'm doing something to my skin. No, it's just makeup."

Vybz Kartel
Vybz Kartel is probably one of the few entertainers to publicly admit to his use of skin bleaching. The reggae artist confirmed that he used black soap to lighten his skin and has since released his own line of skin bleaching products. Kartel says, "I feel comfortable with black people lightening their skin. They want a different look. It’s tantamount to white people getting a sun tan."

Beyoncé
Over the years, Mrs. Carter has constantly faced criticism from people who suspect that she bleached her skin. Beyonce's natural complexion is fairly lighter than when she’s tanned, but still skeptics question why Bey's skin tone has changed since her Destiny's Child days. Newsflash: makeup (and Photoshop) does wonders.

Michael Jackson
The King of Pop was plagued for years with rumors over the dramatic transformation in his skin complexion. When he was alive, Jackson vehemently denied any involvement of skin bleaching. It was only after he died that it was confirmed that MJ suffered from the skin condition vitiligo, which caused his skin to lighten.
