WHAT IS THE ONE THING DESPERATELY MISSING AMONG CHRISTIANS TODAY




Something seems to be missing in our culture, in our churches, in our relationships. Maybe its an american thing or maybe its the broken world full of sin that we live in.

Without this, relationships become more about me, getting what I want, getting my needs met, and totally neglecting the person who we chose to spend the rest of our lives with…or so we thought.

Without this, we don’t feel the need to change our ways when our sin hurts another person.

Without this, its easy to pass a homeless person as we indulge in our dinner that is probably way more then we actually need.

Without this, we never fully realize the impact of our actions on others.

Without this, we never fully grasp Jesus’s guiding principles when he spoke about the great commission or when he said to love your neighbor as yourself.

Without this, we stop paying attention to each other, we become so focused on our responses and our rebuttals that we totally ignore what the other person is trying to tell us.

So what am I talking about?

Empathy

Now empathy is not the same thing as sympathy.

Sympathy is acknowledging another person’s hardships and providing comfort and assurance.

Empathy is when we feel for what another person is going through because we either have gone through something similar or we can put ourselves in their shoes.

I simply think that we don’t empathize with people enough. I know we can’t always entirely empathize with what another person is going through.

For example, I have no concept of what its like to be physically abused by a family member. I have never personally experienced it.

However, when someone comes to me and tells me that they have been physically abused, I can still feel empathy because I do know what that person must be feeling. Probably feelings of sadness, fear, loneliness, and despair.

I have felt all of these feelings, I’ve felt sad when I lost my grandpa, I have felt fear when my biological mom dropped me off at an orphanage, I have felt loneliness when I first moved to college all by myself, and I have felt despair when I battled a disease that I thought I would never heal from.

You see, God has given each one of us these emotions and although our experiences might be slightly different, they still elicit the same feelings we have all experienced.

I think we simply are so busy with our own lives that we don’t take the time nor give our full attention needed to feel empathy towards others.

Our minds are so filled with our own lives, our own needs, and our own desires, that there is no room left to think or even empathize for others.

I challenge you today to incorporate more empathy for others in your life. Take the time to really listen to someone, imagine that their story can teach you something, and open your heart so that you can begin to really put yourself in another person’s shoes.

Popular Kenyan gospel Artist Emmy Kosgei set to part ways with her rich Nigerian husband

Popular gospel artist Emmy Kosgei’s marriage has been the talk of the town since last year and not because it was a celebrity star studded wedding but because the groom was almost twice the age of the bride. Word on the street was that Emmy married the Nigerian pastor because of his huge pockets a rumor that was quickly brushed aside. During her interview on Churchill Live she revealed that she got married to the guy because he was focused and that is what drew her to him.

It seems that the much hyped marriage is not working for them. Last week, Emmy Kosgei secretly filed a divorce citing some difficaulties in her marriage with the man twice her age !! She filed the divorce through her friend Ruth Sang according to the documents. In the case, she wants half the wealth according to the law because she has been married to the man for more than 6 months.

A legal battle ensues because the Nigerian pastor has emphasized " I wont allow her to take half of my wealth , what I have worked for for the rest of my life "

HOW TO GET RID OF "MOLES" ON THE FACE

Dematosis papulosa nigra, better known as moles, is not all that uncommon but does occur in about 35% of African Americans. There are a number of home remedies that will prove to be particularly useful in getting rid of them to some degree.

Squeezing a clove of garlic and placing it over the area that needs cleansing before covering it with a bandage is known to be very effective in reducing the prominence of skin moles.

You could also try crushing some vitamin C tablets and applying the powder over the spotted area of the skin, holding it in place with the help of an adhesive bandage.

Castor oil is very beneficial in the treatment of moles and should be gently massaged into the area of the mole at least twice daily for best results.

It is also essential that you avoid going outdoors when possible, as any over exposure of your skin to the sun could cause the moles to become more prominent. If going out in the sun is completely unavoidable, make it a point to protect your skin with the help of a suitable sunscreen lotion.

I do not know what to do.

I do not know who to turn to.


I prays day & night, But nothing ever seems to get better..





I am starting to give up,

No one understands how much pain I am in.

Why did Jesus ride an a donkey? Why are some Pastors and 'prophets" of today different?

Remember when Jesus Christ rode on a donkey?




Prior to entering Jerusalem, Christ instructed his disciples to acquire for him a donkey (in Matthew’s Gospel a donkey and a colt).




Why did Jesus ride a donkey? There are four reasons.




First, the prophet Zechariah wrote: “Behold, your king comes to you, triumphant and victorious. He is humble and riding on an ass, on a colt the foal of an ass.” (Zech 9:9)




The messianic sign was at once perceived by the crowds who hailed Jesus as their king shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Mt 21:9) Catholics still shout this Davidic salutation every time the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated. It is an acknowledgment that Jesus is the true Davidic Messiah and king.




Secondly, a DONKEY is integral to the story of Abraham’s offering of Isaac, a type of the oblation of the First Born Son as a sign of obedience.




The third reason is that King Solomon Solomon rode to his messianic coronation on a mule that had once belonged to David (1 Kgs 1:33-44).




Fourth, King Jehu rode into Samaria (a kind of false Jerusalem) over the garments of his adherents in order to destroy the temple of the false god Baal (2 Kgs 9:11-10:28). One of the first things Christ does upon entering Jerusalem is bring judgment to the Temple which has become a den of thieves. The typology in this account is rather startling as 2 Kgs chapter nine contains strong messianic language. Like King Jehu, Christ the King comes as a judge over ceremonial regulations.

The faithful, who have been trickling into the town for the past few days, washed the streets early Friday morning. Traffic in the town came to a standstill as followers lined up in the streets to welcome the prophet.






Owuor drove into the town with a police escort and members of the National Youth Service marching band welcomed him with songs. National Youth Service were also present to play bands to welcome the prophet.

This is a moving testimony from a young girl who was depressed after her mom committed suicide. Her life than changed when God came into her life, praise the Lord! University Girl with HIV infects 300 Men For Revenge (See her Facebook Name)

A Kenyan woman (pictured) who claims a man raped and infected her with HIV at a party recently admitted to sleeping with more than 300 men in revenge, the Kenyan Daily Post reports.


The woman, who remains anonymous, shared her story through her Facebook page “Kenyan Scandals.”


“I’m 19 and a 2nd year here at Kabarak Uni,” she said. “I joined this college a virgin; though I’ve had boyfriends before, my parents are strict so having s3x was never on my mind.”


But that apparently changed late last year during a visit to a club.


“Sep 22nd 2013 is a day I’ll never forget. We went clubbing in town and got drunk with some senior students then went back [to] hostels for party round 2,” she continued. However, she woke up n@ked the next day to a man named Javan.


Upon asking if they’d used a c0ndom for intercourse, Javan said yes. However, the woman soon noticed sp3rm near her v@ginal area while taking a bath.


I wanted to commit suicide, she shared. I feared getting pregnant [and] HIV, took contras [and] hoped I was HIV-free. Unfortunately, that was not the case: In November I tested HIV [positive]. I felt like cutting off my neck.


She confronted Javan who claimed he was HIV-negative.


I was so depressed and took alcohol to die, I even bought poison, the pain was just unbearable; how was I [going to] face the world? I let my parents down, I gave up on the world and just wanted to end my life. My future had been ruined, somehow someone had to pay.


She reportedly began exacting revenge by sleeping with as many men as possible. To date, she claims, she has slept with 324 men.


Not a day passes without me having s3x, mostly 4 people per day,” she stated. “Nothing will stop me from accomplishing my mission by continuing to sleep around, you never know but maybe you have slept with me or your husband, boyfriend, brother, father or any has slept with me.


The woman’s eventual plan is to infect 2,000 men with the virus before year’s end, according to XNaija.
